Yield: 4 servings
Ingredients:
4   Ribeye steaks or top loin strip steaks, cut 1-inch thick
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cracked pepper
1/4 cup maple syrup
3 tbsp coarse-grain Dijon mustard
2 tsp cider vinegar
1/4 tsp pepper
Procedures
1 Your friends and family will rave about this glaze!
2 Mix salt and pepper and press into both sides of steaks.
3 Place steaks on grid over medium coals.
4 Cook covered 5-7 minutes per side.
5 Turn with tongs to retain juiciness.
6 Meanwhile, combine maple syrup, mustard, vinegar and pepper in a 1-cup glass measure.
7 Microwave on high for 3-1/2 to 5 minutes until thickened, stirring occasionally.
8 During last 5 minutes of grilling, brush glaze over top and sides of steak.
9 Remove steak when an internal temperature has reached 140ºF for medium-rare or 145ºF for medium doneness.
10 Use tongs when turning meat to retain juiciness of steak.
11 Flank steak, top blade, or shoulder steaks may be substituted in this recipe.
12 Prep: 10 minutes , Cook: 20 minutes
